Immersia wins Innovation Bay
#Immersia has been announced as the winner of the latest Angel Dinner event in Perth, Australia, and by popular vote is the number one startup in Western Australia in the eyes of the Innovation Bay community.
The competition required founders to complete an online questionnaire, submit pitch slides and complete a short video pitch inviting local angels to invest in the company. The top three teams presented to a room full of investors at Kailis Brothers Leederville, where attendees were divided into two tables; 25 investors and 11 sponsors, supporters and others members of the Innovation Bay community.
On Facebook, Founder Adam Geoghegan said: “It took three years, but finally, Immersia is an award-winning startup. Thank you for all of the hard work and support Immersia team, in particular Mary, Robert, Coert, David, Liam, Rhiyaad, Mia and Dan. Let’s let our hair down and celebrate at Bloom tonight before we prepare to conquer Queensland and California next month!”
Following the evening the team held meetings with customers in Perth before hosting their third birthday party at Bloom UWA.
Adam is currently in Gladstone, Queensland where he is presenting Immersia’s latest app, “Falling Objects VR” at a safety conference on behalf of the most innovative mining company in the world.
