Immersia 360 at the Perth Royal Show
It’s spring school holidays again, and everybody in Perth knows what that means! The Perth Royal Show at the Claremont Showgrounds has started.
For the rest of the week thousands of visitors will enjoy Perth’s biggest cultural event which showcases Western Australian agriculture alongside family fun such as rides, showbags and entertainment.
We couldn’t wait to check it out and tried out a few of the rides at the opening for the press and media. This was the first official media event for Immersia, and it was not just a new experience for us, but for all of the official journalists there too. With our little white 360° camera between all the huge cameras and microphones we attracted lots of attention: “Is that a 360° camera? How does that even work?”
To be honest, we weren’t even sure it would work. Adam forgot the wristband to attach the camera safely, so we had to hold it in our hands for each ride. That isn’t seem so easy when you are about to be turned upside down at an insanely high speed.
Did we take the risk?
Of course! While a broken camera would have been a great story, luckily everything went well. And now we have some amazing 360 videos from the Perth Royal Show for you – just search for us (Immersia) or go directly to our pages at:
You can experience even experience them in virtual reality with a Samsung Gear VR or Google Cardboard headset.
And if you’d like us to create a 360° video taken of your ride, contact us at immersia.com.au/contact-us/.
We’re at the Royal Perth Show again on Thursday.
